Abstract

This paper explores efficient data transition techniques within complex IT systems, which involve moving, transforming, and integrating data across diverse platforms. Data transitions are critical for system upgrades, cloud migrations, and mergers, ensuring data integrity and consistency while minimizing downtime. The research identifies key methodologies such as ETL, data virtualization, middleware solutions, and automated migration tools, evaluating their efficiency in terms of speed, accuracy, and resource utilization. Real-world case studies are analyzed to assess the performance, data integrity, scalability, and security of these techniques. The paper focuses on large-scale, heterogeneous IT environments, excluding simpler systems and non-digital transitions, and aims to provide practical recommendations for effective data transition strategies, thereby supporting business continuity, regulatory compliance, and enhanced decision-making capabilities.
