Theoretical Models of Schizophrenia
Abstract
The models that have been suggested to explain schizophrenia range from more general drawings of how some signs may be generated to more comprehensive description that attempt to account for the diverse exhibitions of this impairment by portraying interruptions of complicated interplay between different pieces such as neural pathways, neurotransmitters in the brain, and parallel distributed processes. These models were developed in an effort to provide an explanation for the plethora of symptoms that are associated with schizophrenia.
